Football: Tyler Mattair

Southridge junior ran for 224 yards and three touchdowns Friday in the Suns' 47-12 Big Nine victory over Davis. Mattair leads the conference with 1,021 yards rushing.

Volleyball: Lindsey Idler

Columbia-Burbank senior had 126 assists in leading the Coyotes to a pair of SCAC East wins - clinching the division title - and the East Valley Tournament championship.

Cross country: Brian Horneck

Hermiston senior placed second at the Intermountain Conference district championships Saturday, leading the Bulldogs to a second-place finish and a 4A state berth.

Soccer: Kari Pierce

Hanford senior recorded three hat tricks last week as the Falcons clinched a share of the Mid-Valley League title and the No. 1 seed to the 3A Eastern Regional tournament.

Swimming: Chelsea Durfey

Sunnyside sophomore became the first state qualifier from her school since 1995, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 25.20 seconds at a Mid-Valley 3A/2A League meet Saturday.
