If you would like to send a letter to the editor via electronic mail,
please read the following guidelines and policies, then click on the link
below. Letters sent via electronic mail work best if the text is typed
or pasted into the body of the e-mail document rather than attached.
The Herald welcomes signed letters of all points of view, particularly
those that disagree with opinions expressed by the newspaper. The letters
column is for the exchange of opinions on public concern. Libelous letters
will not be published, nor will letters in poor taste, letters with significant
factual inaccuracies, or letters that defame individuals or ethnic or religious
groups.
All letters are subject to editing and may be shortened.
Thank-you notes and poetry are not appropriate. Writers should limit letters
to 200 words.
If not e-mailing, send letters to: Letters to the editor, Tri-City Herald,
P.O. Box 2608, Pasco, WA, 99302-2608. Letters will not be published if
they lack a writer's home address and daytime phone number where writers
can be reached for verification.
